What is Probate?
Probate is a legal document which gives the executors of a Will the authority to deal with the assets and carry out the wishes of someone who has died.

What if there is a Will?
Yes.
Probate is dependant on the financial situation of the deceased. For example, it is usually required if there is property owned by the deceased in their sole name or more than £5,000 held in bank accounts. There are many other scenarios where it may or may not be necessary, which is why we offer a Free Consultation.
If there is a Will, the process is more straightforward with the Executor applying for Grant of Probate.
